Nerd Fact: Chickens experience a phase of sleep called Un hemispheric slow-wave sleep or when one side of the brain is awake, and the other is sleeping. Meaning they can literally “… sleep with one eye open, which is especially useful for looking out for predators. (spca.bc.ca)

Content Struggles

I love bringing my visions to life through employing a variety of artforms. That’s why I love sharing my personality and life through mediums such as photography, graphic design, drawings, and other creative outlets.

However, the nature of social media requires that I have a regular upload schedule and consistent output. Thus, forcing me to juggle my time between creating content, uploading, commenting, and sharing as well as my life responsibilities. I love the process of creation but lack the time to producing a way that allows me to fully appreciate what I’m doing. The result of my work always brings a smile to my face, but having to constantly create can be a bit of an annoyance.

Regardless, the process of creating outweighs the quantity of my output. I have been improving my schedule to better accommodate my personal life and my creative pursuits. I assume that, like all things, my content balancing will improve with time.

Ladies Retreat

I’m not going to expound on this too much because I already explored my experience in another article. In summary, for 3 days I spent 3 days at a beautiful nature-centric Ladies retreat. I had a wonderful time being surrounded by lovely women of God. Seeing ladies from ages 18 to 60 growing together through harmonious fellowship, outdoor activities, and more was a treat for me. The food was delicious, the games were fun, and the smores were marshmallow-y. I can’t for the next getaway!

Daily Writing

When I knew I wanted to start this blog, my goal was to improve my writing through consistent practice. Of course, there is no better way to practice than to do something every day.

It will be 2 months so far that I have been writing daily, and it has been a true joy. Being able to transfer my inner person onto paper has been interesting to experience. As if I wasn’t introspective enough, I have learned so much about myself from writing consistently.

Started my daily writing about 30 minutes after this picture.

Furthermore, it’s not always a journal entry or a blog post. Sometimes, I just let my hand flow. Whatever is in my heart is what I create without the concern of grammar or prose. Recently I have been taking some courses through Skill share, and they have also been beneficial. I am excited to be able to read my old writing and see my progress while also appreciating where I used to be.

I have a full list of plans for next week so follow me on social media and subscribe to my email list to get updates and sneak peaks of my latest adventures!

With Love
