Welcome back to part 2 of my April digital diary. If you missed part 1 you can read it here, but this can be read on its own as well. I hate when youtubers have intros longer than their whole video, so I’ll get straight into it.
While I was in CLT (see part 1 for details), I got a request to take my youngest sister to the bank to open an account. Since we would be going in the morning, I figured if I have to wake up early, I might as well have a treat.
Drinks and Waffles
So after opening her account we found ourselves at my favorite drink shop in town: The Factory: Coffee and Waffles. I love them because they are a coffee shop that specializes in more than just coffee. Aside from their array of drink options, they also have the tastiest biscuit waffles.
If you have been following me for a while, you know that I love drinks. It’s almost an obsession! I even created a Instagram and Pinterest completely dedicated to beverage content called The Drinkologist!
So, although I enjoy the coffee here, I wanted something a little different that morning. Thankfully, this Orange Dreamsicle did not disappoint! It tasted exactly like an orange creamsicle soda.
Since I had a sweet drink, I needed to counteract the taste with something savory. I went with one of my usual orders: their “Over the Top” Waffle. It’s a biscuit waffle topped with sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, and bacon. It’s delicious and of course I had to top it off with some syrup!
Downtown Finds
After stuffing our faces, we had to take my baby dog Honey to the groomer. While she was there, we took a stroll around our small-town shops in our city’s downtown area.
There was a shop that just opened called Fox and Olive that I wanted to visit. Let me tell you, if you’re into cottage core, you would have loved this store. Pastel colors and soft tones were imbued into every home good in the building. My favorite part were the trinkets because I love trinkets (I could never be a minimalist, I’m so sorry!). Ultimately, I didn’t get anything that day, but I planned on going back. What I did get were the cutest cowgirl earrings.
I also got a lot of candles from various different stores. My favorites are the dessert shaped candles. My room is going to smell delicious!
One Piece Progress
For all my One Piece fans, you will be glad to know that I was finally able to reach episode 700! This was a milestone for me, as is every 100th episode of One piece, so I am quite pleased with myself. As usual, my heart is still in pain and I am unable to control my emotions with these back stories!
Unfortunately, the only person who watches One Piece that I know is my younger sister and I’ve watched ahead of her. Thus, I am left to crying to myself while ranting to the TV screen. The fact that I still have over 300 episodes to go in order to catch up is still surreal to me! Honestly, I wish it was more. Everyone who loves One Piece, knows that the joy in the show is not the anticipation of the end, but the enjoyment of the stories. I personally would love to just keep watching Luffy’s adventures for another 1000 episodes!
I actually had more to talk about, but I had some plans fall through. However, I hope you still enjoyed this journal entry.
